The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion

Why you need it:
The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion combines two forms of Retinol to give you a truly effective anti-ageing treatment without irritation.  It tackles lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, pigmenation and visible pores. The key ingredient is Solubilized Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate, a next-generation Retinoid which shows dramatic reduction in visible signs of ageing without the dryness and irritation that can sometimes occur when using Retinol products. The formula also contains pure Retinol which supports the action of the Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate and increases its effectiveness for a truly powerful anti-wrinkle and anti-ageing treatment.

The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion was previously known as The Ordinary Advanced Retinoid 2%. During a transition phase, you may receive packaging with either the new or old name. However the product is exactly the same.

Free from:
Oil-free, Silicone-free, Nut-free, Vegan, Cruelty-free

Important:
Products containing Retinol are not recommended for use during pregnancy or when breast-feeding.
Always use a daily SPF when using products containing Retinol.

How to use:
Apply a few drops in the evening as part of your regular skincare regime. Use only at night time. Do not use with other products containing Retinol and Retinoids. Always use sun protection during the day time.

When to use:
Before Oils/Creams. PM Only.

Conflicts:
Do not use with other retinoid treatments. Do not use if pregnant/breastfeeding.  Use of direct acids (Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid etc) may increase skin's sensitivity if used together with Retinols/Retinoids so please monitor how your skin responds and reduce or discontinue use if necessary.

SPF recommended:
Use of daytime SPF is strongly recommended when using Retinol/Retinoid products.

Tip:
Retinoids can sometimes cause irritation and dryness when first used, before the skin builds up tolerance. To decrease the likelihood of irritation, you can dilute The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion by adding to a cream or serum that does not already contain Retinol or Retinoids. You could also begin by using the product every 2 or 3 days initially, gradually increasing frequency.
